Stacie Ann Brumley (5-19-2004)
A song I wrote after speaking to the wife of a Ft. Hood Soldier in
Walmart...

"She Don't Know Why"

She puts their daughter bed
Countless stories she has read
And kisses each and every night
Promises Daddy is alright

She goes to sleep alone
Nothing's the same since he's been gone
Every night at three
She wakes hoping he'll be

Right there...
But he's still away
And each and every single day
She prays.....
He'll come home again
Safe into her arms

And she doesn't know why
He doesn't know why
But the money's good
So, away he tries

To save the day
It's the only way to ever make it in his mind

And she cries
Whoa she cries, and she still wonders why
And no one can ever really tell her why....

The sweat falls constantly
Trying to be All He Can Be
He may get to call again tonight
To tell her everything will be alright

Their picture he keeps near
Bullets are flying, he's filled with fear
What happened to all that he held dear
Why is he here
Oh why is he here........

And he doesn't no why
She doesn't know why
But she'll do her best
To try and get by

While he is gone, she'll be so strong

But Sweet Baby still cries
Whoa she cries, and she still wonders why

For every Brave woman who took on the Bravest of Brave men!! May God's mercy
and love always shine down on you!

MUCH LOVE
